INTRODUCTION:
Within the Professional Services department, you will ensure and have full ownership of Atempo software deployments at customer sites. As data protection specialist (physical and virtual machines, NAS platforms, databases, Microsoft applications), expert in new datacenter storage architectures such as object storage or Public Cloud environments, you will cooperate with our channel partners providing technical expertise to mid to high-end end-users. As a thrusted and knowledgeable expert, you will advise our customers and partners on the best practices throughout all project phases such as design (migration requirements, data protection infrastructure, specific data protection policies for DR scenario,…), installation and configuration of the different software as well as with knowledge transfer, performance tuning and writing customized documentation.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:
As senior consultant on the Atempo software productline, you will be dedicated teaching and providing assistance to our partners and customers in order to properly master the usage our software solutions. On behalf of our partners, you will be allocated to provide technical assistance onsite or remotely ensuring proper deployments of the solutions. As such, facing partners and end-users you will represent the Atempo's EMEA Professional Services organization guaranteeing expertise, empowerment, knowledge transfer to all our EMEA partners and becoming a thrusted advisor to them. Also, you will collaborate with our other Atempo technical departments such as customer support, QA or engineering guaranteeing the highest customer satisfaction level.
During the initial phase of any Professional Service engagement, you will work closely with our presales engineers defining and validating Scope of Works and project schedule ensuring to fulfill all project requirements.
When taking any Professional Service engagement ownership, you will be working on project task deliverables with the highest quality and satisfaction levels demonstrating our business commitment to our partners or customers. By applying Atempo’s best practices for all types of services, you will work daily/weekly with partner’s project team and client's staff to define data protection or data movement workflows, configure software, implement and validate workflows until final project acceptance.
Travel throughout Europe is expected (50%) essentially in the DACH region.

 

Qualifications

TECHNICAL SKILLS :
Very good knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, network tuning
Very good knowledge of storage systems: NAS, Cloud, Tape
Knowledgeable on data protection policies for virtual and physical environments, file-system migration
Experience on databases, Microsoft applications, disaster recovery, compliance requirements
Very familiar with system administration tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Engineer in computer science - BS or BA in an appropriate discipline
6 to 8 years of consulting and/or project management experience
Very good communication skills
Capacity to present and to argue choices (presentation and technical argumentation during solution design or project kickoff meeting)
Capacity to work in a local team and collaborate with other Atempo teams
Good writing skills to guarantee the drafting and the re-use of the existing methods and document; rapid learner of the technical documents available on the company Sharepoint repository, and used to dealing with complex environments, the candidate will rapidly become an expert of the Atempo’s products.
Experience in multicultural environment is a plus
Able to work under pressure
Comfortable with up to 50%+ travel, primarily in Germany
