Live Backup automatically backs up data with no interference to Mac users’ work patterns or network performance. It acts transparently on all Macs, captures changes in real-time and sends them to the Live Backup server. Data is continuously backed up while Macs are disconnected and roaming as the changed data is stored in cache until the computer is connected to the network again.Within your enterprise, several Mac users store the same version of a file multiple times. When you offer protection to a large number of Mac users data duplication is frequent and can make storage explode. Live Backup data de-duplication feature saves storage space by only transferring and storing the redundant blocks once. It reduces bandwidth usage and significantly saves costs.
Self-serve restore capabilities for Mac users minimize the need for IT help. A user-friendly interface makes file recovery easy for users, minimizing the need for IT assistance, improving productivity and lowering TCO. Users can easily restore recoverable files and those that are deleted and “empty trash” with the assistance of Live Backup Recovery Assistant client wizard. Integration with the local user file system will also enable Mac users to recover previous versions of a file through Finder.
